About the Author
Nino Cipri is a queer and trans/nonbinary writer, editor, and educator. They are a graduate of the 2014 Clarion Writers’ Workshop, and earned their MFA in fiction from the University of Kansas. A multidisciplinary artist, Nino has also written plays, screenplays, and radio features; performed as a dancer, actor, and puppeteer; and worked as a stagehand, bookseller, bike mechanic, and labor organizer. They are the author of Homesick, a World Fantasy Award finalist and Dzanc Short Fiction Collection Prize winner, and the novellas Finna, a finalist for the Hugo, Nebula, and Lambda awards, and Defekt, a British Fantasy Award winner and finalist for the Philip K. Dick and Locus awards. Dead Girls Don't Dream is their young adult debut.
Kathleen Jennings lives in Brisbane, Australia, a subtropical city.
Her Australian Gothic debut, Flyaway, (set in Western Queensland, where she grew up) received a British Fantasy Award (the Sydney J. Bounds Award) and was shortlisted for the World Fantasy Award. She is also the author of a short story collection, Kindling, and a poetry collection, Travelogues: Vignettes from Trains in Motion. In addition, she is a World Fantasy Award–winning illustrator, has previously been a translator and a lawyer, and holds both an MPhil and PhD in creative writing (Australian Gothic literature and creative observation, respectively).
K.M. Szpara is a queer and trans author who lives in Baltimore, MD, with a small dog and long cat. He is the author of speculative novels such as FIRST, BECOME ASHES (2021), DOCILE (2020), and a novel that will follow up on his Hugo and Nebula nominated novelette, "Small Changes Over Long Periods of Time." They're about cults and trauma, consent and debt, and a horny trans vampire, respectively. His short fiction appears in Tor.com, Uncanny, Lightspeed, and more.
