SAMUEL KATZ is an internationally recognized expert on Middle East security issues, international terrorism, and military special operations and counter-terrorism; he is the former editor-in-chief of Special Operations Report, a trade publication that covered the world of international law enforcement and military counterterrorism units. His books include Soldier Spies: Israeli Military Intelligence; Anytime, Anywhere: On Patrol with the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit, and Relentless Pursuit—The Diplomatic Security Service and the Hunt for the bin Laden Terrorists. Katz was one of the first authors to discover the Diplomatic Security Service, one of the best-kept secrets in federal law enforcement, and he wrote dozens of articles and created several documentaries for television on the service. Relentless Pursuit is widely regarded as the definitive history of DSS.
